So, what is underlay and why do you need it?
It is the material placed under your carpets before they are fitted. It can help with noise reduction, can have energy saving benefits but it also make your carpet feel more comfortable underfoot and help maintain the pile and condition of your new carpet. Carpets without a quality underlay can have a much shorter lifespan.
If the carpet you are replacing looks worn out you can be pretty sure that the underlay beneath it is ready to be replaced too. We would always recommend on replacing underlay when you replace a carpet. If you are looking for longevity, luxury feel and want your carpets to last, always ensure that your carpets are fitted with a quality new underlay.

The Ts and Cs are pretty simple.
1. Order and pay for the wool carpet of your choice, before March 18th, from the extensive range of our most popular wool carpets included in this offer and we’ll give you the underlay for free. That’s a saving of €9 per square metre.
2. It’s our best-selling underlay – the one we recommend most – and is suitable for most rooms in most homes.
3. You need to have confirmed your order and paid for it before March 18th but the fitting can take place anytime until 30 June 2023.
4. Offer applies to a selection of our ‘in-stock’ wool and wool mix carpets – there are 100’s to choose from.
